Private house, Engadine, Switzerland

Cosmic scale.
In this historic residence of vast size, organized on four levels, the majestic helical staircase, the swimming pool and massage room are the three spaces where the light of Bilumen reigns unchallenged. The staircase with 88 steps in solid wood pivots on a single steel post; each step has a slim LED line to light the tread below it, generating a spectacular organic effect. On the level of the swimming pool the sound-absorbing ceiling floats, so as not to transmit vibrations; inside it 7000 small methacrylate cylinders reflect the light behind them, sent into the space by a myriad of small openings. In the massage room the wood grille ceiling is enhanced by luminous bars and RGB elements for color therapy.
